Political Candidate Websites

In 2011 for both the Canadian federal election and the Ontario provincial election Bagler IT provided an assortment of candidates with websites for their local campaign.

With the time constraints and the need for some consistency in design between candidates; the websites used one template design with a customized image in the top right of the website. In order to meet the needs of campaigns of varying sizes and budgets the websites supported a base number of features with many more advanced options for larger campaigns.

The most basic sites provides easy to edit static pages for entering necessary information such as the candidate’s bio, contact information and media kit also with pages for providing visitors with donation, volunteer and lawn sign information. Prominent social media icons were incorporated into the design and can be easily turned on and off based on which social networks the campaign is employing.

More advanced websites feature blogs, online forms for sign and volunteer requests and full bilingual (French / English) support. The most advanced sites incorporate CiviCRM for full constituent management system support including bulk mailing and advanced contact management.
